The Absolute Truth About Hell

In a prayer to the Heavenly Father, the Lord Jesus Christ said, "Thy word is truth" (John 17:17). The Bible is God's word, and is therefore the absolute truth. In John 8:31-32 Jesus said, "If ye continue in my word, then are ye my disciples indeed; and ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free." We invite you to freedom. Look up the Bible verses referenced after the following statements, to see that the statements are true.

  1. Hell is not the grave, but is a literal place of eternal torments in flames of fire (Luke 16:19-31).
  2. Hell and all the people in it will be cast into the lake which burns with fire and brimstone to be punished forever (Rev. 20:14).
  3. There is no such place as Purgatory; there is no second chance after death (Luke 16:26; Heb. 9:27).
  4. People who die without Christ go immediately to Hell to agonize in the burning flames forever with no hope of escape (Luke 16:22-23; Ps. 9:17; Mat. 10:28; 18:9; Mark 9:42-44).
